What is Competitive Soccer?
While Recreational soccer remains the most important and wide-reaching program within the Fountain Hills Soccer Club, we are always pleased to offer a more competitive brand of soccer for those players interested in furthering their skills. Competitive soccer—also called Premier—is played at a more competitive level than Recreational soccer and involves a longer comitment. It features a high level of coaching, more intense training with players who share similar levels of skill and commitment, and game play against the best players from the Valley. Players are selected based on the skills they exhibit during the tryout process. Premier soccer involves travel as games are played both in Fountain Hills and at other valley locations.
Competitive teams play two-seasons from August to late February with half of their games in Fountain Hills and half at other Valley locations. They participate in tournaments at the discretion of each team’s coach and parents. These teams receive weekly training with a professional trainer and weekly team practice with their coaches.
